Phew. The heat's been insane for a while now. I miss the rains... (Funny I say that as storms are 'finally' coming through, I'm not sure. Too many times the skies turned dark and then the sun pops right out after.)
I guess the big project was a vegetable bed with cucumbers and tomatoes.

The heatwave is starting to kill off the cucumber plants. Kinda sad. I think next year if I were to attempt this again, definitely gotta be in a spot where it gets shielded from the morning/noon sun because the humidity/sun combo is just so unforgiving until very late afternoon.

I decided to start a morning glory pot filled with blue morning glories such as Heavenly Blue, Flying Saucers, Blues Brothers - all of them were from Ferry Morse seed packets.
Unfortunately every flower that bloomed has been this purple flower with reddish-kinda lines going through it.

I was given a heads up that something was growing in the woods and it turns out that the birdhouse gourds are taking over. Last year I had 21 gourds but only harvested 20. I guess I finally got my answer on what happened to the last one. Heh!
(I apologize for the wonkiness of this post. I don't know what it was trying to do when I was typing and images wouldn't let me type in between sometimes and it just all went wonky. I give up on trying to fix this post. 😥🤣) Hope everyone's having a good summer.
